Danielle Polansky, LADC, is joining our team as a clinical trainee in the field of professional counseling in May 2025. She has recently finished her graduate degree in the counseling and psychological services program at Saint Mary’s University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She started her career as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and has worked in that capacity for the past 6 years within inpatient residential and intensive outpatient day treatment programs. She has experience working with adult and adolescent populations with chemical and mental health concerns.
At this time, Danielle is eager to expand her knowledge and experience in the world of mental health counseling. Danielle is passionate about supporting clients through mental health challenges such as anxiety and depression, body image concerns, perfectionism, and life transitions to name a few areas. She enjoys working with clients to develop healthy relationships, coping skills, emotion regulation skills and stress reduction techniques. Danielle is deeply interested in learning more about the intersection of physical and mental health. She is sensitive to the needs of each individual client, aware there is no one size fits all approach. Danielle exhibits kindness, unconditional positive regard and a dose of humor in her work. She encourages hard work and supports clients along the way. She believes hope and healing is possible for everyone when they believe in themselves.
In her free time Danielle enjoys spending time with her dog, attending live music concerts, exploring new restaurants, traveling and spending as much time outdoors as Minnesota will allow.
