Madyson Wills is a dedicated mental health clinician committed to walking alongside others on their journey. She believes that everyone comes from a unique background and deserves to feel heard and understood. Madyson works with her clients to navigate life’s challenges, recognizing that we are all diverse, interconnected beings. Life’s circumstances can sometimes limit our ability to make choices, and her hope is to help clients reclaim autonomy in their stories.
She believes that clients are the experts of themselves, and her role is to provide a warm, safe space for exploration and curiosity, where they can tap into the inner wisdom we all possess. Madyson welcomes diversity in her work and affirms all identities. Clients can expect warmth, attentiveness, and an empathetic listener. Her goal is to create an environment that feels comfortable and non-judgmental, allowing clients to express themselves freely without fear of judgment. Feeling heard and understood as authentic selves is crucial to the healing process.
Clients can trust that they are not alone and will feel validated in their experiences. Madyson utilizes an integrative approach in her practice, incorporating Internal Family Systems (IFS), Family Systems Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). She has clinical field experience working with trauma, personality disorders, PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, OCD, and emotional disturbances.
Growing up, Madyson can honestly say her dream job was to work in this field. She completed her undergraduate degree at Minnesota State University, Mankato, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies. Shortly after, she earned her Master of Arts in Counseling from Bethel University.
Madyson is passionate about working with individuals, couples, and families using an integrative theoretical approach. She believes that viewing the family system and interpersonal relationships as dynamic, transactional processes can be incredibly helpful in the healing journey. Her goal is to create a supportive space that enhances relationship effectiveness by improving communication, finding balance, and cultivating meaningful, pleasurable moments in life.
She currently resides in the Twin Cities with her family, their dogs, and reptilian friends. Outside of work, Madyson enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, fishing, boating, cooking, watching sports, and playing in adult sports leagues.
