Required Qualifications

Therapist Responsibilities

  • Master's degree (or higher) in behavioral sciences or a related field.
  • Licensed or on licensure track as PsyD/PHD, LMFT, LPC/LPCC, LGSW, or LSW in Minnesota.
  • Experience with Diagnostic Assessments and treatment planning.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain professional boundaries.
  • A passion for continuous learning and growth in the field of mental health.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, or bilingual (Spanish) speakers is a plus.

Medical Billing Specialist wanted in Savage

Are you ready to take on a dynamic and rewarding role? Join our team as a Billing Specialist, where you’ll play a key part in ensuring smooth financial operations and supporting our mission to provide exceptional care in therapy and medication management as a holistic mental health care clinic while launching your mental health career. Your responsibilities will include managing account payments, generating billing reports, and overseeing insurance-related tasks such as obtaining pre-authorizations, negotiating contracts, and managing clinician credentialing. You’ll also handle claims submissions and follow-ups with insurance companies, serving as a valuable billing resource for staff, insurance providers, and patients alike.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), customer service and organizational skills
  • Possession of problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to establish and achieve priorities in the work environment.
  • Must be able to socially, physically and mentally perform all essential functions in the working conditions described below.

  • Complies with HIPAA, ethical, and regulatory standards of the profession.
  • Consults with River Valley Behavioral Health & Wellness Center Board of Directors regarding billing ideas and program development.
  • Performs essential functions of the job during and outside the regular 20-25-hour workweek as needed.
  • Performs job duties primarily on company premises.
  • Efficient with Quickbooks
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
  • Advanced knowledge of computer programs including Google Docs, Google Sheets and Gmail
  • Extensive knowledge on use of email, search engine, Internet; ability to effectively use payer websites.

Physical Demands

  • The employee frequently is required to stand, and talk or hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms at all levels including levels below the waist and above the shoulders.

  • The employee will frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds for tasks such as transporting laptop computer and patient files.

The Details

Job Type: Part-time

Schedule: 20 – 25 hrs/week, 5 days per week

Pay: $17.00 – $23.00 per hour
