River Valley’s Savage location is our flagship facility, proudly serving as the foundation of our practice. Spanning two spacious units, it features 14 private office rooms including 2 play therapy rooms and three comfortable waiting areas.
Northfield
Conveniently situated in the heart of Northfield, just off County Road 3, River Valley’s Northfield office is a beautifully renovated three-level office condo featuring eight private offices and a spacious playroom for play therapy.
Waconia
River Valley’s Waconia location is our newest addition, conveniently located off Highway 5, just across the street from Waconia Middle School. This thoughtfully designed space features five private offices, two of which are perfectly suited for play therapy, providing a welcoming environment for clients of all ages.

Therapist Responsibilities
- Master's degree (or higher) in behavioral sciences or a related field.
- Licensed or on licensure track as PsyD/PHD, LMFT, LPC/LPCC, LGSW, or LSW in Minnesota.
- Experience with Diagnostic Assessments and treatment planning.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain professional boundaries.
- A passion for continuous learning and growth in the field of mental health.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or bilingual (Spanish) speakers is a plus.

Medical Billing Specialist wanted in Savage
Are you ready to take on a dynamic and rewarding role? Join our team as a Billing Specialist, where you’ll play a key part in ensuring smooth financial operations and supporting our mission to provide exceptional care in therapy and medication management as a holistic mental health care clinic while launching your mental health career. Your responsibilities will include managing account payments, generating billing reports, and overseeing insurance-related tasks such as obtaining pre-authorizations, negotiating contracts, and managing clinician credentialing. You’ll also handle claims submissions and follow-ups with insurance companies, serving as a valuable billing resource for staff, insurance providers, and patients alike.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), customer service and organizational skills
- Possession of problem solving and analytical skills.

- Consults with River Valley Behavioral Health & Wellness Center Board of Directors regarding billing ideas and program development.
- Performs essential functions of the job during and outside the regular 20-25-hour workweek as needed.
- Performs job duties primarily on company premises.
- Efficient with Quickbooks
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
- Advanced knowledge of computer programs including Google Docs, Google Sheets and Gmail
- Extensive knowledge on use of email, search engine, Internet; ability to effectively use payer websites.
Physical Demands

The Details
