Cody earned his Master’s degree in Social Work from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2021 and his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Missouri Valley College in 2016. He has experience working as a Mental Health Practitioner in a residential setting with adults with co-occurring disorders and a lengthy history of severe and persistent mental health struggles and has worked closely with crisis services and admissions.
Cody started working as an outpatient therapist in January 2021 and has experience working with adults, couples, teens/adolescents, and children. Cody specializes in treating people suffering from depression, anxiety, co-occurring disorders, adjustment disorders, trauma, and issues relating to shame and anger. Cody utilizes CBT, DBT skills, Mindfulness-based stress reduction, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) with a strengths-based person-centered approach.
Cody is currently accepting clients aged 15 + and specializes in trauma, male depression and anger issues, and college and high school aged students adjusting to life changes in an uncertain world. Cody is currently accepting clients over telehealth and at the Savage and Northfield locations.
